I had different ideas here, one try was to make it really dark with some sort of black-blue goo. But this didn't really work on a Christmas drawing for me. So I sticked to the classic candy canes. Also first time I drew falling snow. This was done with the help of some of my books, they finally were useful (Digital Painting Techniques, Vol 1).
